The Soul, The Quality of Life is a compilation of extracts from the 24 books of esoteric philosophy by Alice A. Bailey. On its own plane, the soul knows no separation, and the factor of synthesis governs all soul relations. The soul is occupied not only with the form that the vision of its objective may take, but with the quality or the meaning which that vision veils or hides. The soul knows the Plan; its form, outline, methods and objective are known. Through the use of the creative imagination, the soul creates; it builds thought-forms on the mental plane and objectifies desire on the astral plane. It proceeds then to externalize its thought and its desire upon the physical plane through applied force, creatively actuated by the imagination of the etheric or vital vehicle. Yet because the soul intelligence, motivated by love, it can (within the realized synthesis which governs its activities) analyze, discriminate and divide. The soul likewise aspires to that which is greater than itself, and reaches out to the world of divine ideas, and thus itself occupies a midway position between the world of ideation and the world of forms, This is its difficulty and its opportunity. This compilation seeks to increase understanding of the immortal soul, addressing it's many aspects under sixty two headings.

These books written by A.A. Bailey can be described as one of the more difficult if not the most difficult books out there, regarding spiritual books in general.
It contains advanced material describing advanced commentary on several topics which are in the interrest of the aspirant, adepts of the Path. These are persons that have dedicated or are seeking dedication of their selves to the service of soul, and to advancement of the planet as a whole.
Service.
One may be tempted to buy this book based on the interresting titles and/ or subjects spoken about, but for many these will be a bridge to far, for the way dealing with these subjects are not similar to most new age book, but far more hermetic of nature. So dissapointment can be a result.
However Not the least to say that these books are one of the greatest jewels written as an inheritage to those aspiring serious spiritual progression.
Advanced material but precious to those ready for it.

Very hard to follow. Even re-reading and going very slow still had a hard time moving through it. That's just my take.
